ProPhyPlus: Software for calculations of physical properties of fluids and their mixtures

Using Interactive Thermodynamics: IT, generate tables of the same isentropic flow functions as in Table 9.2 for specific heat ratios of 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, and 1.67 and Mach numbers ranging from 0 to 5. Interactive Thermodynamics (IT) software is a highly-valuable learning tool that allows students to develop engineering models, perform 'what-if' analyses, and examine principles in more detail to enhance their learning.

64-bit versions are designed specifically for 64-bit operating systems. The 32-bit versions work on either 32 or 64 bit systems. If you do not know what type of operating system you are using, choose a 32-bit version.

Instructions:
1. After you downloaded the package:

  • For Simulis Thermodynamics, open Excel and go to ‘Add-ins’.
  • For ProPhyplus, click on the software icon.

2. To get started with the software, use the TUTORIALS.

RegCin: Calculation of kinetic parameters

This interactive software allows to calculate the frequency factor and the activation energy for given values of kinetic constant at several temperatures, following the Arrhénius expression.
The results can be used in BatchReactor to enter initialization values when you are in the kinetic fitting mode. This calculation program is delivered with BatchReactor.
